雅思口语话题卡：勾魂话题1

雅思口语考试第二部分的话题卡中有部分话题难度较大，我们把这类话题卡叫做“勾魂话题”。很多考生碰到较难的话题，就会六神无主，胡乱回答。虽然这些话题需要不少专业词汇，但我们也可以做出相应的准备。以下笔者给考生们准备了一些较难的话题卡，以及相应的参考答案，如果考生不能记住全文，请务必记住每一题的回答思路。

A historical figure

Speaking of an historical figure, I want to talk about Hua Mulan, who is described in a famous Chinese poem known as the Ballad（歌谣）of Mulan.

During the Northern Wei dynasty, Mulan’s father received an order to join the imperial army, but he was too old and sick to fight anymore. The whole family started to worry about him because they knew that the refusal to the order would bring punishment upon the entire family. And Mulan’s little brother could serve as a substitute, but he was much too young. To protect her father and her family, Mulan decided to join the army for her father. Disguised（伪装）as a man, she distinguished herself in battle as a brave warrior and a clever strategist.

Many years later, the battle was over. In view of her military exploit（功绩）, the Khan（可汗）of Northern dynasty offered Mulan a high official position, but she turned down the position in order to return to her family. She made up after coming back home. When her former comrades（伙伴）visited her at home, they were shocked to see her dressed as a woman.

Hua Mulan, as a well-known Chinese historical figure, has been highly respected as a filial（孝顺的）daughter by the Chinese people for hundreds of years. She impressed me a lot not only because of her personality, but also because of the things I learned from her. She broke the traditional view and pursued individuality. She is legendary!

In 1998, her story was adapted for an animated cartoon in the United States. And now she is famous all over the world.

花木兰（412年-502年），北魏宋州（今河南商丘）人，巾帼英雄，花木兰的事迹流传至今，我国北方古代民族英雄，忠孝节义，以替父从军击败入侵民族而闻名天下，唐代皇帝追封为“孝烈将军”。应归功于《木兰辞》这一方民歌的绝唱。花木兰事迹被多种文艺作品所表现，电影、电视剧、歌舞豫剧等。

A film character

Can''t remember where I once read "If you have love, you don''t need to have anything else, but if you don''t have it, it doesn''t matter whatever else you have!" Actually, I had watched millions of romance films, but my favorite one is Titanic. I am really big fan of it, since it is not only sensational but also classic! And my favorite character is Jack.

Jack was an artist and was living for drawing in Titanic. He unexpectedly won a ticket over a poker game and met Rose on the ship who was engaged to a rich royalty. They instantly fell in love. Unfortunately, he finally died in a shipwreck. Honestly speaking, I had watched this film for several times in a row, but I could learn something new when I watch it. The film plots are really thought-provoking, and until now, I can still remember the words that Jack told Rose right before he died: "Winning that ticket, Rose, was the best thing that ever happened to me. It brought me to you, and I''m thankful you must...you must... do me this honor. Promise me that you will survive, that you won''t give up, no matter what happens, no matter how hopeless. Promise me, now, Rose, and never let go of that promise, never let go."And Rose said in a shivering（颤抖的）and crying voice, "I''ll never let go, Jack. I''ll never let go, I will never let it go, I promise."

I am always all tears every time when I watch it. I really love the character Jack, not only because of those beautiful words he said, but also because of his personality and his great love to Rose. So now I see why people are always saying, "Love can’t be seen, can’t be heard, but can be felt by heart."
