Nowadays, there are more and more reports of juvenile delinquency in many places. This phenomenon has aroused people's deep concern. There are many reasons for this, and we should adopt some reasonable and appropriate methods to punish these young people.

One of the most important reasons for more and more juvenile crimes is the lack of corresponding moral education and training. Nowadays, many schools regard achievements as a very important criterion for students' assessment, so they do not pay enough attention to the cultivation of students' morality. Schools always attach importance to academic performance, and some students suffer unfair treatment from teachers because of unsatisfactory performance. Besides, the pressure of competition among students is increasing, which also leads to many problems in children's mental health. Moreover, the lack of family education has also promoted more and more teenagers to commit crimes. Nowadays, many parents are busy with work, which leads to very little time for them to accompany their children. They give their children very limited companionship, care, and moral education.

Another very important reason is that the development of science and technology and the development of media have accelerated the seriousness of this problem to a certain extent. Because of the imperfect network system and inadequate auditing mechanism, some media will spread unhealthy information and content, such as violence, bloodshed, pornography and so on, for profit. Even in some common movies and TV dramas, producers will add some unhealthy content in order to be eye-catching. In the long run, children are exposed to such a social environment, which has a great negative impact on their mental health, and then lead to their psychological distortion on the road to crime.

The better punishment for these children is to give them some relevant moral knowledge and trainings on observing rules. Only with the ideological awareness and awareness of their own mistakes can it be possible to eradicate the crimes. Besides, they can also have appropriate participation in some social activities, such as compulsory community labor and services. To some extent, this will make them more aware of their mistakes and have better self-reflection, and also in the process of realizing the great significance of good behaviours, they can develop in a positive and healthy direction in the future.
