自2018年以来的新话题一直是考试的热门,比如第一部分的广告、高中、船、交通方式等。都是与生活相关的热门话题。第二部分的名人,包括外国名人、运动员、5月以来的新题喜剧演员;抽象话题如想要替换的东西、没太花钱的一天、城市里需要改进的地方、重要的河流或水域、将来想从事的有趣职业等;具象一点的话题如看了广告买的东西、一座建筑、一本杂志、一件特殊场合穿的衣服等都是考生们遇到的常见话题。而且这些话题相较于老题来说更容易被考到,所以考生们需要更加重视新话题的准备。在准备抽象话题时,重要的是想办法把话题描述的更具体,更让人能“脑补”出画面;在准备具象一点的话题时,重要的是描述外观等特征的时候不拘泥于陈旧而笼统的表达,并且及时表达对物件的感受,使听者感同身受。
